Firearm Transfers

Mac’s Firearms Service offers affordable firearm transfer services for firearms purchased online, acquired through auctions, received from other dealers, or transferred between individuals. All transfers are conducted in compliance with Federal and Tennessee regulations.

Online Purchases & Acquisitions

When purchasing firearms through online dealers, auctions, or other sources, Mac’s Firearms Service can receive and process the transfer safely and legally.

  • $30 transfer fee for first firearm
  • $5 for each additional firearm transferred at the same time
  • $10 Tennessee Instant Check System (TICS) fee applies
  • Storage for up to 7 days included
Non-Profit Transfers

Reduced transfer rates are available for firearms acquired through Friends of NRA events and qualifying non-profit organizations.

  • First firearm: $20
  • Additional firearms: $5 each
  • One TICS fee applies for all firearms transferred at the same time
Private Party Transfers

Transfers between private individuals can be facilitated while ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Transfer fee begins at $25
  • Additional firearms transferred during the same transaction are subject to reduced fees
  • TICS background check required
